A Very Beginners Guide on Photography
How to Improve your photos
Think you need the super duper high tech equipment to take good photographs? Think again! Luckily in this day and age it is no longer needed to go out and spend a months wage on a decent camera. You can in fact take some pretty awesome photos with your smart camera that can be just as good.
Whilst I was on holiday in Florida I gave up on my big digital SLR camera and just used my phone to take most of my photos because it fits in my pocket and I had it with me anyway. There are key things you need to consider when you are taking photos with any device – so if you’ve just broken out your SLR from its box or you just want improve your instagram photos, here are some of the most important things you need to consider.
The Subject
What is it that you want to photograph? is it the sky? people? buildings or even an animal? Once you’ve figured that out (and it won’t take too long) you move on to the next step.
Framing
You know what you are shooting now it’s time to decide how you would like to frame it.
You may want it to be dead centre or you may want to switch it up and have it to one side or nearer the top or bottom, or even in the corner of the photograph.
Focus
Most cameras now allow you to choose what to focus on.
You may want the background out of focus or you may want the foreground out of focus. Whatever you decide to do with the focus you need to always keep your subject completely in focus.
